Mobile App Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 3, 2026. This policy covers the Richland Raiders Touchdown Club mobile app for iPhone and Android. Questions and requests: [email protected].
Summary
Fans do not need an account. The app stores an anonymous device identifier for push notifications, sends anonymous usage and performance data so we can keep the app working well, and — only if you sign up for a volunteer shift — your name, email address, and phone number. We do not collect your location, contacts, or photos. We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for advertising. Every item can be removed by following the steps under "How to delete your data" below.
Fans do not need accounts
The app works without registration. It never asks for your name, email address, birthdate, location, contacts, or photos in order to use it. Because we never ask your age, nothing in the app is targeted by age.
Push notifications
If you turn on notifications, the app stores a random device identifier and push token, along with the teams you follow, so we can deliver score alerts and club news. The identifier is generated by the app itself — it is not your phone number, Apple ID, Google account, or advertising ID, and it is not linked to your name. You can turn notifications off at any time in the app (More › Notifications) or in your phone settings; devices that are turned off or uninstalled are automatically dropped from delivery.
Usage and performance data
The app sends anonymous usage and performance data to Expo Application Services (EAS), the service that delivers app updates: app launches, which screens are opened and how long they take to load, app version, phone model, operating system version, language, and the same random install identifier that update checks already use. We use this to see which parts of the app are used and to fix slow spots. It is not linked to you, is not used for advertising, and is not shared with anyone for their own purposes; Expo processes it on our behalf under its privacy policy at https://expo.dev/privacy.
Volunteer signups
If you sign up for a volunteer shift, you give us your name, email address, and (optionally) phone number so coordinators can reach you and we can send your confirmation and cancel link. That is the only time the app asks for personal information. It is used solely to run the volunteer program and is never sold or used for advertising.
Purchases and photo orders
Memberships, donations, spirit-store purchases, and media day photo orders are completed on our website and by our payment provider (Zeffy) in your browser, under the website privacy policy and Zeffy’s own policy. The app only opens those pages; it does not collect payment or order details itself.
Staff accounts
Coaches, board members, and score reporters may sign in with club-issued accounts containing name and email address. These accounts are created by the club, not through the app, and are used only to manage club content.
Advertising
The app includes the Google AdMob library, but advertising is turned off: no ads are served, we do not use advertising identifiers, and the app never asks for permission to track you. If the club ever turns ads on, this policy and the app store listings will be updated first, and any ads will be non-personalised.
Children
The app is a general-audience app for parents, students, and community members. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Player names, photos, and jersey numbers shown in the app are roster information published by the club as content — they are not collected from app users and are not used for advertising.
How to delete your data
You can have anything the app holds about you deleted at any time. No account or form is required: email [email protected] with the subject "Delete my data" and tell us which of the items below you mean. We confirm by reply once it is done, within 30 days at most. There is no charge, and the app keeps working afterwards.
Push notifications and followed teams: open the app, go to More › Notifications, and turn notifications off. The app tells our server to stop delivery immediately, and uninstalling the app does the same. To have the stored device record erased as well, email us the make and model of your phone and roughly when you turned notifications on. The record is anonymous, so we cannot look it up by name; we delete every record that matches your description.
Volunteer signups: cancel from the cancel link in your confirmation email, from the volunteer screen in the app, or by requesting a fresh cancel link on the volunteer page. Cancelling takes you off the shift and stops any reminders. To have your name, email address, and phone number erased from the signup entirely, email us and we delete the record.
Usage and performance data: this data is anonymous and holds nothing that identifies you, so there is nothing to look up by name. Uninstalling the app stops all collection, and the random install identifier is discarded with it.
Staff accounts: email us from the account’s address and we delete the account. Club content you published (news, scores, events) remains and stays attributed to the club.
Photo orders and purchases: email us and we delete the order record we hold (name and email address). The payment itself was handled by Zeffy, which has its own deletion process on its website.
Changes to this policy
If what the app collects changes, we update this page and the app store listings before the change ships, and the "Last updated" date at the top changes.
